I suspect he’s thinking that he’s heard way more than enough of the overly optimistic BS that Netanyahu used to goad him into a war that obviously never should have been started. And that he’s furious that the Israelis, again obviously, are doing all they can to

torpedo Trump’s peace efforts.

Hopefully Trump will now use this as a springboard to create a true nuclear-free Middle East, with this, including both Iran and Israel. The American objective should be to have every country in that region be a signatory to the nuclear non-proliferation agreement. The hypocrisy of the current approach is so obvious that it is embarrassing.

The only hypocrisy is pretending there is a moral equivalence between an Iranian regime that has set the destruction of Israel as a goal and Israel which just wants to be left alone.

The real question regarding the post-WWI territorial dispensation is not the Jewish people were given their right to self-determination but rather why they were the only indigenous people in the region to be granted that right. As matters stand, 99.75% of the lands lost by the Ottoman Empire are ruled today by the prior imperial conquerors, the Arabs. Maybe that’s the real hypocrisy among the anti “settler colonial” crowd.
